Mass customization is becoming one of the main production modes in the 21st century. The tabular layouts of article characteristics are one of the key technologies to support mass customization. The research on information exchange and sharing among CAD/CAPP/CAM/CAQ/PDM, which is based on the tabular layouts of article characteristics, is important to enhance the core competency of manufacturing industry. Based on the analysis of design for mass customization (DFMC), the integration technology of CAx and PDM system is studied based on the tabular layouts of article characteristics. Main research achievements are as follows:1. Through the analysis of product modeling, configuration design and variant design for DFMC, the actual demand of the integration between CAx and PDM system is proposed.2. The architecture of integration platform based on PDM, CAx system and the tabular layouts of article characteristics is brought forward. The research emphasis is laid on the information modeling for integration platform, which establish a product model based on the tabular layouts of article characteristics which is composed of article characteristics model, product object model and data object model.3. The integration method of platform based on the tabular layouts of article characteristics is presented. Aimed at the different demand of the integration between CAx and PDM system, this paper puts forward two integration strategies and makes a detail research on integration method under the two integration strategies.4. According to the architecture and integration method of integration platform, the prototype system is developed with EJB, COM, XML. And as the application example, the DFMC process of the rotor of steam turbine is given to validate the correctness of the architecture of the integration platform and the feasibility of the integration method. |
