Research And Development Of Parts Library Management System

The dissertation mainly focuses on the studys of some issues about the Parts Library (PL) combined with research and development of product collaborative design system for MC project sponsored by the national 863 programs, including the structure of the PL, the description method of parts information, and the construction of the PL. Mass Customization (MC) is the customisation and personalisation of products and services for individual customers at a mass production price and effiency. And PL is one of the important tools to support the implementation of MC.Chapter one introduces the concept of the computer briefly, and analyzes the PL theory and the current application both domesticly and externally, and compares sereral famous foreign PL system with each other; Explains the background of the subject and thesis ensemble architecture finally.Chapter two is a key part of the paper. Firstly, The chapter mainly researchs the inside structure of PL System, analyzes the demand for the PL system and draws a conclusion that a PL system shoud be of these characters such as web-based, part family-faced, standard and multi-industry. And the system function framework is presented. After studying the application system architecture ISO 13584 presented, author put forward the PL system architecture of his own; Secondly, the chapter studies the key technology of PL and introduces the common part information description method, Designes the structure of the database in detail and explains several important tables finally.Chapter three depicts the system function framework and designs some important system functions from different aspects. From the aspect of the establishment of PL system, self-help fuction and maintenance function are necessary. From the aspect of PL utilization, it should be capable of providing enterprises private PL as well as a shared one. From the aspect of obtaining information, the system is supportive for mobile equipment besides traditional ways of communication, which users can query parts and suppliers information by mobile phone and PDA.Chapter four introduces some key technologies which are important to the the system firstly. Then explains the implementation of system on the basis of former chapters, and describes the use of the system with pictures and characters. A application example is present lastly.Chapter five makes a summary of the research and presents the expectation of the work afterwards.
