Study On XML-based Forestry Data Integration Techniques And Integration Platform Frame

How to build up the sharing mechanism of forestry resources data and coordinate those multi-sources heterogeneous data to carry out the integration of forestry data have become the key role in China forestry informationization. So coordination and integration of those heterogeneous multi-sources data are an important task in the construction of forestry informationization.Based on the data situation in forestry field and the integration demands of data, this thesis tries to resolve the heterogenous of forestry data schema with XML data integration. First the thesis analyzes problems faced in the forestry informationization. Second it discusses the basic theory and technology of data coordination and clarifies the concept of data resource coordination. Then it states its objects and data coordinated problems in forestry area. After discussing coordination methods and research actuality in data integrated, it compares existed data integration methods and proposes to use XML documents as low layer information transference carrier in forestry data coordination which considered the demands of forestry data coordination and characteristics of data integrated architecture. Based on this point of view, this thesis also designs an XML- based platform architecture in forestry data integration. It uses the Mediator-Wrapper structure building up a platform frame. This frame adopts the methods of virtual view and describes the local data view with XML. Thus the local characteristics of systems are hided and the transparence of platform is improved. After that this thesis emphasizes the most important technology in data integration--schema integration. It improves on the existent methods of schema integration by combining XML with them.
