| With the coming of the era of knowledge economy and the informationtechnology, libraries developed into the stage of the hybrid library. A kind of newmanagement mode needs to be introduced. With the booming of the enterprise'sknowledge management, the knowledge management of the library is becoming abrand-new research field in the educational circles of the library. It will become animportant content of library construction. However, at present, there are few researchachievements in domestic and abroad. The theoretical system is not perfect now. It isrealistic and theoretical to do research further about how to implement the libraryknowledge management.Combining the characteristic of the library and drawing lessons from enterprise'sknowledge management theory, this paper predicts the definition of knowledgemanagement of the library. It has double meaning, namely knowledge managementbasing on serving and management basing on people. The former emphasizescontrolling the explicit knowledge in the library. By providing the knowledge serving,it achieves "knowledge navigating" goal, reflects value of knowledge containing inthe knowledge resources. And the latter emphasizes the management for people;especially pay attention to the control over people's tacit knowledge. In order torealize organizing the innovation of knowledge, it establishes "learning organization".So, the knowledge management of the library is different from knowledgemanagement of enterprise. It is not only the management course, but also themanagement method. It has a service function, and has function of management. Itunifies new management with deeply serving management.In order to ensure the library to realize knowledge management effectively, it isessential to set up the knowledge sharing mechanism, which helps study, andknowledge application, and exchange, establishes the knowledge managementsystems of the library, realize the knowledge innovation of the library, and offerknowledge service. |
