In stages, starting from 2002, China gradually rolled out the establishment of 402 large scale irrigation district information systems. Under this guideline, the purpose of designing a basic database for large scale irrigation district is to achieve modern information management for the irrigation district.Large scale irrigation district contains massive data points, wide range of date type; therefore it is essential to gather all the relevant data and its specific properties into the basic database, and categorize the dada based on its physical properties. To facilitate management and utilization of this database, various sub-databases will be divided into multiple data sections which will include different types of data.Using the designing pricinple and process of database analysis, this article describes the steps of the database design and its result. Mainly focus on the following subjects: Categorizing the dada based on its physical properties such as the irrigational water resource allocation process Establishing the proper correlation between the data Detailing the designing pricinple and process of database analysis Formating the Logic Structure of the Data Making the database utilization have multiple sections cross search capacity and various functionAnd, this article put emphasis on data categorization and logic structure formation.
