RFID (Radio frequency identification) is the identification technology using radio wave which is the combination of wireless communication technique and semiconductor technique. RFID has the feathers of contact less, flexible, efficient, high security, and so on. Firstly, the theory of RFID system was introduced. The tag is consist of analog part, digital control part and embedded EEPROM part. This thesis presents a design scheme on EEPROM of the tag IC operating at 13.56MHZ, according to ISO/IEC 15693. Then data encoder is discussed. After analyzing the structure and interface of EEPROM of the tag, it is composed of voltage rising part, power supply, data input and output and memory body. This paper analyzes architecture of voltage rising part, simulates one stage and ten and four stages voltage rising parts. The structure of the whole EEPROM is explained. The architecture of the typical address decoder and how it works are discussed. The architecture of the data shift register and power supply circuis also are discussed. Then the cell of memory body is analyzed. The paper explains how to write data and read data in the cell. Next the data structure of EEPROM is defined, including data of user, UID, EAS, AIF, and so on. Writing and reading timing of EEPROM is analyzed, including witing a bit data, reading a bits data and reading data more than 1 bit. This paper discusses the data encoder. The data structure is defined with different modulated wave. The Manchester code is discussed, too. In the end, the states changing of data sending part of the FSM is discussed.
