In the recent years, as the mobile communication developed rapidly, the wireless monitoring system based on GPRS-tech has been applied to so many fields as the electric power, traffic control, weather service, attemper of water supply, and so on. Then, this paper penetrates the GPRS-tech into the application of technologic control of water-production, and brings forward a monitor & control system used in waterworks, which is based on the GPRS.At first, the paper gives introduction of some common communication methods used in monitor system, as well as the status quo of the monitor system in the waterworks in our country. Then it describes the technics and control flow of vitriol-adding and chlorine-adding subsystem in the waterworks.Secondly, the thesis describes the hardware design of the terminal, including the component introduction and circuit design of the MCU module and the GPRS module. It presents the interface design of A/D and D/A. And it also introduces the signal isolation and I/V or V/I in the process of data collection. And also, it introduces the correlative software design of the system, such as the port of embedded RTOS, the partition and switch of system tasks, the driver design of GPRS module and data parse of it. It also gives the program design of A/D modules. Because there are so many sections in the process of water-production and not all of them could be refered, the paper just presents several simple arithmetics that applied to partial taches of vitriol-adding and chlorine-adding subsystems in the waterworks. Finally, this paper summarizes the achievement of the system, it points out the scarcity of the system design, as well as the items that could be improved or perfected in the future.
