The Data Collection Syetem Design And Realization System Based On The Interface Gn Of GPRS

Nowadays3G telecommunication technologies have been commercialized in some countries, and China also enters the3G era in2009. According to the statistic, the number of users of mobile Internet is increasing with a much faster rate than the user numbers of traditional Internet. The unidirectional charging pattern between telecom operators and users in tradition is changing to a profit mode centred on users.The mobile internet is popularized with the development of mobile terminal (Smartphones, Tablet PC, PDA...) and wireless communication technology. In the meantime, the traditional mode of charge between operators and users starts to change. The network operator, mobile phone manufactures, and Internet content provider start to provide services and business based on the end uses. Within the next few years, there will be an extensive demand for wireless data services.In this background, this project is going to implement a user activity data extraction system that relies on users of PDP and WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) services in mobile data network. The objective of this system is to get some simple statistics of the service usage situation through analyzing the signalling and data generated while the various PDP and WAP services are used according to the defined message flowin the first part. In second part, system is going from a database to analyze some Key Performances Indicator (KPI). With these statistics and Key Performances Indicator, telecom operators can apply deep data mining technology to these user statistics so as to improve their services. This system lies on the Gn interface between SGSN (Services GPRS Support Node) and GGSN (Gateway GPRS Support Node) in GPRS network. The statistics are obtained by analysing the PDP and WAP messages, especially the WTP (Wireless Transactions Protocol) PDUs and WSP (Wireless Session Protocol) PDUs. encapsulated in GTP (GPRS Tunnelling Protocol) on Gn interface.The report firstly analyzes the background and makes an introduction of the GPRS, GTP, and WAP, as well analysed the details of the related protocols. Then this report devises the statistic needed to be extracted and the system structure as well the relevant modules needed for this statistic extraction system. Afterwards, the project environment is set up and the system is implemented, following the project results and the related discussion is provided. In the end, a conclusion is given out.
