The Research Of User-oriented Library Knowledge Service

In each period, both domestic and abroad libraries take spreading the knowledge as the main mission .Libraries carry on the fulfillment of a service work to satisfy the knowledge need. The user service work of the library turns into the steadily development along with the technical development and the library appearance of science.As the modern information technology developing fastly, the library original information service could not satisfy the knowledge need of the user. Therefore, the knowledge-based in-depth service will become essential trend of the library user service development. In recent years, as the knowledge management in-depth research, the Library and Information field pay more attention to the knowledge-based in-depth service, a great deal of research achievement have been produced. This paper firstly introduces the concept and features of knowledge service, then analyzes it is an inevitable development trend of library user service changes from information service to knowledge service. And next explains the user and the user need, considering by these, the author put forwards that libraries should carry out the user-oriented knowledge service. Lastly, some method and strategies for user-oriented knowledge service of library are proposed in detail.
