Library is a social and cultural service center.With the change of society,information technology,user behavior and demand,its service has undergone the development process from document service to information service and then to knowledge service.As an important institution of knowledge storage,production,application and innovation activities,university libraries need to do a better job in knowledge-based and content-based knowledge services,so as to promote its transformation from knowledge repositories to knowledge infrastructure for social and economic development.Library knowledge service is the deepening and expansion of information service,the refinement and specialization of information service,the process of integrating library into user situation,giving full play to the knowledge and wisdom of librarians,and supporting or assisting users to solve problems.Library knowledge service can not be separated from user participation,which is the core element of library knowledge service.The characteristics of library knowledge service,such as user-centered,integrating user situations,assisting or supporting user problem solving,require users to participate in the process of library knowledge service in order to ensure the smooth development of library knowledge service.In the existing research on the historical evolution,research process,service mode and Implementation countermeasure of library knowledge service,user needs,user context,user participation and other user factors have been mentioned or taken seriously,but there is no systematic research.There are more and more researches on user participation in library services at home and abroad,but on the whole,there are few studies on user participation in library knowledge services.In order to ensure the smooth development of library knowledge services,it is of great significance to explore user participation incentive mechanism in library knowledge service.It will be useful for library to attract,encourage,guide and cooperate with users to participate in knowledge services,to better meet the needs of users,to improve the quality of knowledge services and user satisfaction.On the basis of reviewing the current research situation of user participation in library services,this paper puts forward research questions and contents,clarifies research topics,purposes,significance,tools,methods and technical routes,and further explores user participation in library knowledge services,expanding the theoretical basis of user participation in library knowledge service,in order to provide theoretical support and practical guidance for user participation in library knowledge service.This paper carries out the research from the following four aspects:First,analyzing the types of user participation in typical library knowledge services.This study uses literature research and website survey to analyze the research and development of library knowledge service,and select typical library knowledge service items as the research object.By analyzing the change of user role,user value and user behavior,this paper subdivides the types of user participation in library knowledge service.Combining the process of library knowledge service,we construct the mapping between library knowledge service items and user participation types,and deeply analyses the user participation behavior in library knowledge service.The results show that the types of user participation in library knowledge service can be divided into usability participation,evaluation participation and constructive participation.User participation is the core element of library knowledge service,and has been gradually integrated into the process of library knowledge service,but its depth,breadth and intensity need to be improved.Libraries can seek the entry point of user participation according to the process of knowledge service,and encourage users to participate in knowledge services.Second,explaining the influencing factors of user participation in library knowledge service.It is of great significance to explore the influencing factors of user participation in library knowledge service for attracting and guiding users to participate in library knowledge service.A crawler is designed to collect question and answer data about user participation topics in an open virtual community,and the influencing factors of user participation were identified by qualitative analysis tool Nvivo.Combining with literature research,expert group discussion is organized to extract the influencing factors of user participation in library knowledge service.Further,with the help of the interpretative structural model(ISM),a series of steps are conducted,such as establishing the adjacency matrix,calculating the reachability matrix and decomposing the influencing factors,to construct the ISM to analyze the hierarchical relationship among the influencing factors.Based on the above analysis,this paper clarifies the relationship between the factors that affect the user participation in library knowledge services,identifies the primary and secondary factors at all levels,and provides theoretical support for further research on the incentive mechanism of user participation in library knowledge services.Third,researching the influence mechanism of user participation on library knowledge service performance.This paper synthesizes related theories,and introduces user perceived value as an intermediary variable,to construct a hypothesis model of the impact of user participation on library knowledge service performance,and put forward relevant research hypotheses.This paper designs a questionnaire to survey to obtain data,using SPSS for descriptive statistical analysis and exploratory analysis,and Amos to verify the hypothesis model,and empirically explores the path and role of user participation on library knowledge service performance.The results show that user participation has a positive impact on library knowledge service performance through user perceived value.The research on the influence mechanism of user participation on library knowledge service performance not only establishes the importance and rationality of user participation in library knowledge service,but also enriches the theory of user participation in library knowledge service.Fourth,building an incentive mechanism for user participation in library knowledge service.The function mechanism of user participation on library knowledge service performance is the premise and foundation of establishing user participation incentive mechanism.The influencing factors and logical relationship of user participation in library knowledge service are the basis of building user participation incentive mechanism oriented to knowledge service performance.In view of the above research conclusions and enlightenment,this paper puts forward the incentive framework of user participation in library knowledge service,and elaborates in detail from three aspects of incentive role positioning,mode selection and atmosphere creation,which can provide reference for libraries to attract,encourage,support and guide users to participate in knowledge service.Based on the mechanism of the types of user participation on the performance of library knowledge service,this paper puts forward the role orientation of user participation in library knowledge service,integrating users into the process of knowledge service.Based on the analysis of influencing factors of user participation in library knowledge service,this paper puts forward the choice of incentives to promote user participation.In view of the important influence of situational factors on users'participation in library knowledge services,this paper constructs an atmosphere of user participation to integrate various resources,channels and ways to promote user participation in library knowledge service.The above conclusions not only strongly support the user participation in library knowledge service,enrich the theory of user participation in library knowledge service,but also provide guidance and reference for the user participation in library knowledge service,and be helpful for library to encourage,support and guide the user to participate in knowledge service correctly.In view of the different knowledge service projects,this study only considers from the overall situation.In the follow-up,we will focus on user participation in different knowledge service projects,and continue to expand the theoretical and practical research of user participation in knowledge service.
