The Research About The Application Of Psychology In The Library User Service Work

Psychology is a subject which has broad application value. User is the object of library service, and different users have different psychological need and reading need in the process of using library, thus, library should only apply psychology to the library user service, so that we can master the users’psychological law and improve our service quality. The paper expatiates the connotation of library psychology and the significance of psychology applying to library work service, and analyses the necessity of applying psychology to circulation service, reference service, individual service and user education. In the mean while it proposes the corresponding measures. Besides, it also states the application of psychology to relieving users’library anxiety. Through analyzing the performance and the reason why users have library anxiety under new technology, it discusses the measures that library takes to ease users’library anxiety from library level, reader level and librarian level, so that library can provide users with more personalized service and guide the practice of applying psychology to library user service work better.
