| Knowledge has become a crucial strategic resource in the institution,and universities are not only the production institutions of knowledge,but also the consumption institutions of knowledge.Therefore,knowledge management and knowledge service in university libraries has a long way to go.Both Knowledge management and knowledge service are inseparable from user participation.In order to deeply study the theory of user participation in the institutional knowledge service of university library,this paper,on the basis of literature review,discusses the connotation,necessity,inevitability and feasibility of user participation in the institutional knowledge service of university library,analyzes the main factors influencing the degree of user participation by using the Technology Acceptance Model(TAM),and through the experimental research method,uses TechSmith’s Morae software to study the usability of knowledge service platform.The institutional knowledge service of university library,based on the university knowledge resources,provides knowledge services of teaching,research,management and discipline construction for institutional members.In order to improve the effectiveness of services,the institutional knowledge service of university library put particular emphasis on the user participation in the service process.As the service content has the dual characteristics of knowledge and institution,it is called institutional knowledge service.The essence of user participation is initiative of service object,that is to say,users take initiative to ask or accept knowledge service provide by university libraries.The service process is accompanied by the input of user participation,which means the more input,the higher participation degree.According to participation degree,this paper grades the user participation into three levels of attendance,cooperation and substitution.As to there are many factors influencing the user participation in the institutional knowledge service of university library,this paper constructs the user participation degree model of institutional knowledge service,and makes empirical analysis with the service of the scientific research achievements statistic.The research results shows that accessibility,informality,and conformity influence user participation degree,by mediating variables including perceived ease of use,perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment.In addition,the “usability of service platform”,in the factor of accessibility,has a major influence upon user participation.Take a university institutional repository as an example;make use of Morae software to carry out the usability study.With analysis of experimental data of 24 university teachers,it puts forward several strategies to improve the usability of knowledge service platform: improving the accuracy of navigation bar and module name of service platform;optimizing the layout of institutional knowledge service platform;enhancing the publicity to allow users better understand the service platform;and strengthening the information push function of the service platform,etc. |
