UML is a well-defined, easy to use, powerful and general modeling language. It is widely used in software development around the world. RUP is a software engineering modeling framework, with many good features adopted from various developing models, excels at maneuverability and practicability. After it came to the market, due to the leading role of its designer in IT business and its excellent integration with UML, RUP has rapidly gained broad endorsement from IT business. More and more organizations are using RUP as their software-modeling framework. This paper describes the developing process of a HR management system. This paper applies RUP to the requirements analysis and system design process of the HR management system and demonstrates the process and methodology of concept model, design model, data model and deploy model, with the help of numerous UML diagrams. It also provides concrete examples to show the system implementation and testing methods. The author experienced a comparatively complete development process.
