With the rapid development of Ethernet, industrial Ethernet takes an important role in the industrial control system. Industrial Ethernet, as a rising technology for control networks, has been widely used in management layer and control layer of industrial control system. A further expansion into filed equipment layer is also suggested. On the other way, the products combining with embedded system and industrial Ethernet technologies are becoming popular application in industrial automation field and a good future for application can be predicted. So, it is important to investigate and develop an intellectualized instrument supporting protocol of Industrial Ethernet.The development and communication protocols of industrial Ethernet are introduced fitstly. This thesis analyzed the ways of communication in industrial Ethernet, discussed the delay of data transmission and the problems using Ethernet in industrial environment. After that, the thesis introduced embedded techonlogies including embedded processor, embedded OS and a general development platform that designed on the basis of ARM processor and uClinux embedded OS.Aiming at the needs of scatter measure and control tasks on the spot, which realized remote monitoring in the industrial control fields, the thesis provided a convenient way to realize an industrial Ethernet interface and described the method of expanding an industrial Ethernet interface using RTL8201 Ethernet controller in the S3C4510B and uClinux embedded system in details. After analyzed the TCP/IP communication model and TCP sockets, the thesis gave convenient ways to realize the network communication with C/S and B/S models in industrial Ethernet. This designment provided not only a normal operation for Ethernet protocol, but also a consistency with the progress of adoption of 32-bit microprocessor and embedded OS.According to the analysis of real-time attribution and factors that affect the real-time attribution, the thesis provided some methods to improve or solve the real-time attribution, and also put forward some method to implement network security for the requirement of security of the industrial control network.We have reasons to believe that industrial Ethernet will have a bright future in industrial control field, the development and application of embedded system will more deeply. Along with the resolve of key technology problems, the products combine with these two technologies will be used more and more broadly.
