Photoelectric sorter is an effective device which can be used in the detection and classification of grainy materials. Its application can enhance materials' quality, increase their added value and bring good economic and social benefits. So the research of the photoelectric sorter has the important practical significance.The thesis mainly designs and implements the control system of photoelectric sorter. By the analysis of the system structure, the main control system and the electromagnetic vibration feeding control system are designed and implemented. The former can control and manage all subsystems and peripheral functions, while the latter can adjust materials' flow capacity.Main control system uses PIC16F877 MCU as the controller and a piece of CPLD XC95216 to expand logical circuits; adopts nonvolatile SRAM DS1230 to design exterior expansion storage circuits; designs communication circuits between PIC16F877 and touch screen as well as all subsystems, establishes the RS-232 asynchronous serial communication between PIC16F877 and touch screen based on Modbus protocol, and the three-wire synchronous serial communications between PIC16F877 and each subsystem based on user-defined protocol; designs circuits which monitor power supplies of the system; uses DS1620 digital temperature sensor to measure working condition's temperature; designs switching signal circuits.The feeding control system is designed in the mode of electromagnetic vibration. By the analysis of the electromagnetic vibration control theory, the relation between the adjustment parameters and the power supply parameters of the feeder is established, then according to this, the feeding control system based on AT89C51 MCU is designed, which mainly includes alternating current zero-cross detection circuits, four SCR triggering circuits and communication circuits.Printed circuit boards of the two above systems are made and debugged respectively in the development environments of PICMATE and Medwin, and XC95216 is designed, simulated and downloaded in the development environment of Xilinx ISE 5.2. By the repeated experiments and debugging, all the designs are completed and meet the thesis' requests.
