Since 2007, according to the Ministry of Education, Press and Publication Administration released documents, all the country`s University Press began to turn into enterprises from Institutions. After the transformation of University Press, the reform of compensation management became the most important and sensitive topic, and establish reasonable compensation management system lay a good foundation for the future development, has far-reaching significance.After the transformation, the original compensation management has been out of touch with the market and no longer meet the requirements of the development. In order to solve the compensation management problems of HB University Press, the author use the theory of compensation management, combined with compensation management research and literature of other university press, which lasted one year, through questionnaires make empirical research and analysis, redesign compensation management program for HB University Press.Though the salary survey on the staff of HB university press, author proposed the main problems in compensation management are unequal wages, lack of external competitiveness, compensation lack of incentive,imperfect of performance assessment and management,lack of pay forms and so on. Combined with compensation management theory and compensation design theory, redesign compensation management program of HB University Press.According to the different characteristics of leadership, middle management, frontline and second-line staff, program were designed for a variety of options. The compensation of leadership should increase the proportion of floating part in the salary, and gradually develop to the annual salary system; middle managers should introduct annual salary system, performance linked directly with the annual salary; front-line and second-line staff should establish broadband pay system, ability and performance linked directly with the salary.And the performance assessment was re-designed,the pay forms should be more diversified.Wish the study of compensation management of HB University Press could provide a reference for other University Presses or similar enterprises.
