As the development of automotive electronics, more and more electronic controllers are applied on automotives. Only on automotive body control there are so many electronic controllers such as electromation seat controller, rearview mirror controller and automotive lamps controllers etc. As these controllers improve the comfort of automotives, they also cause many problems such as higher cost, higher failure rate and increasing of wiring complexity. In order to solve such problems people suggest using serial communication net to replace the complex field connection.This paper researches and analyzes LIN bus protocol version 1.2 and CAN bus protocol version 2.0, and discusses several technologies based on CAN and LIN protocol. Then this paper mentions a automotive lamps control program based on CAN/LIN mixed network, developing a intelligent master node and four slave nodes according with the protocols, finishing choice of chips,analyzing of chip performance and design of circuit including CAN module, LIN module, Power Driver module and Power module; then this paper develops a software according with CAN protocol and LIN protocol, which impliments a net topological structure with single master node and multy slave nodes. At last, the paper develops a Human-Computer-Interaction Interface with Visual Basic software on PC which will communicate with the automotive lamps control module with a USB-CAN bridge. It will help to debug and manage the whole automotive lamps control module.This project has finished the built of hardware testbench, and the design, debugging of software. The result of test shows the project works well. This project can also be applied on other automotive controllers, it is extensive and has good application prospect.
