With the development of communication technology and much application of microprocessor and IC in auto, auto electronics advances toward networking. Currently network in vehicle has become one of the most popular research and application hotspot in auto electronics field. LIN is one network in vehicle of low cost. It complements current multiple network in vehicle.Generally speaking, Car board control system contains a master module and multiple slave modules. In this paper, a slave control module of XiaLi car window is designed. Utilizing this module, we can drive the automotive window and get warning reports when there are errors. The communication protocol used between the master and the slaver is LIN specification version-LIN2.0.Car window control module is made up of hardware and control algorithms.The hardware contains four parts as follows, the first part is CPU with the freescale's SCM 68HC908EY16;the second part is motor drive unit with the chip MC33984 used to drive motor;the third part is switch detection unit with the chip MC33972 used to detect switch status;the fourth part is communication unit with the LIN conversion chip MC33689.The software part contains the control programme and the host computer communication programme. CodeWarrior is used as the software development platform to control the car window with C language in the control programme. The host computer communication programme realize the communication on the master and the slave with the tool of LabVIEW8.0.Finally,CAN communication is realized with CAN transceiver TJA1050 and CAN controller SJA1000 to expand the application of the whole system.Through the result of system debugging and running it expressed that the system scheme satisfies the design requirement very well and it makes good use of LIN network's advantage in distributed control.
