With the increasing of automotive electronic systems, traditional inner wiring doesn't satisfy communication demands any more. Automotive network came out under this background. CAN bus communication protocol was developed by Robert Bosch company in 1986, and the CAN bus is a kind of serial, high-speed bus and particularly suitable for real-time application. Nowadays, CAN is extensively used in automotive and aerospace industry.Because the ISO11898 only defines the Physical Layer and Data Link Layer, the users should define Application Layer according to their own demands. The work described in this thesis is to provide a unified interface program for test system and CAN bus hardware. The thesis consists of two parts: first, for providing an interface for application layer, the CAN bus driver is programmed and realized with VC++6.0. Second, the monitoring platform is built. One PC, as a virtual ECU, is linked with the tested ECU, and the test cases are designed to analyze functional requirements.Test results show that, the monitoring platform implements the real-time monitoring and control for automotive CAN network effectively.
