On the basis of existing automobile manual mechanical transmission, Automated Mechanical Transmission retains the great mass of mechanical assembly and refits the control part of shift pole and clutch on the manual operation system. In so doing, the Transmission Control Unit takes the place of the driver to do shift level in order to relieve his pressure.SmartAMT, short for Smart Automated Mechanical Transmission, is one of the AMT control system designed for QQ EZDriver Car of Chery. It bases itself on the TCU which uses MC9S12DP256B of motorola as its main control processor, and finalizes the control application with resort to the alarm and interruption mechanisms of SmartOSEK Realtime OS. The Hardware of TCU features the collection circuit of signal, the peripheral circuit of main control processor and the regulative circuit of control signal. And the control application is characterized by shift operation, clutch control, auto level choice and panel display, etc.This thesis starts to analyze adequately the AMT of QQEZDriver Car of Chery and then integrates the test on cars and the present research on AMT before arriving at the conclusion of the good control effect of the Smart AMT.Major contributions made by this study are listed as follows:1). Investigate the industry background, analyze the current situation ofAMT-related techniques and elaborate on the theory of AMT. 2). Analyze in detail the configuration and function of SmartAMT based onSmartOSEK OS. 3). Finalize the hardware of TCU in accordance with the characteristics of Magnetshift operation machine and the peripheral circuit of QQEZDriver Car. 4). Implement the control application of SmartAMT based on SmartOSEK OS byanalyzing the control theory of AMT.5). Test SmartAMT on the QQEZDriver Car and evaluate the results.
