Blast Furnace Blower is the core power equipment to guarantee furnace stable produce of blast furnace in the metallurgical industry, which is important to ensure stable,efficient,safe working.In the control process of Blast Furnace Blower, how to adopt scientific and advanced control strategies and control measures to safeguard the normal operation of Blast Furnace Blower and reduce the emergency rate are of great significance to the normal conduct of blast furnace production and the improvement of production.Our topic is emphasis on the model selection of inspection and control systems to AV80-16 Blast Furnace Blower as well as design of its control strategies.In this thesis, we analysis structural characteristics and inspection requirements of AV80-16 Blast Furnace Blower. Besides, we combine the practical production status of an unit, that is choose AC800F from ABB Company to be control system of AV80-16 Blast Furnace Blower and starting a design in the following 3 aspects. First is the design of AV80-16 Blast Furnace Blower control systems, including start and shut down programs, anti-surge and anti- reverse control programs, Stationary blade angle, hot well level adjustment and control programs, etc.Second is Blower's hardware Configuration design, including selecting control systems (with its corollary equipments) and inspection equipments, designing Anti-surge valve and vibration monitoring systems. The third aspect is software's design, including configuration, software program compilation of control systems, and Human Machine Interface function design.At present, AV80-16 Blast Furnace Blower has been put into actual production, the result showed that this unit has perfect property of operating well, stable control systems and can meet all production needs.
