Predictive control is a successful application of modern control theory in industrial process control and neural network predictive control is one of newest research field of process control. The studies and applications of the predictive control and neural network are discussed in the problem of Anti-surge. The simulations of algorithm are presented. The main content of the present research is as follows:Firstly, the paper focused on the control methods of multi-variable, nonlinear, time-delay systems. Combination with the ideas of neural network and adaptive predictive control, it gave the neural network prediction model, designed the control structure of neural network and the algorithm which was applied to non-linear, multi-variable system to confirm the validity of the algorithm.Secondly, considering the difficulty to establish accurate mathematical model for the compressor surge control system, the paper made use of the advantages of identification and modeling of BP neural network, designed the BP neural network prediction model. And for the difficulty to strike the optimal control amount, it designed a kind of neural network predictive controller, realized the on-line and real-time updates of the weights of neural network controller to find the optimal control amount.Finally, the paper applied the neural network predictive control algorithm to the compressor surge system, realized the control to the compressor surge theoretically, and verified the effectiveness of the algorithm.
