With the continuous development of modern electronic technology and embedded technology, navigation radar presents low cost and higher performance. Embedded navigation terminal is taken as a new direction, more and more embedded technology was applied to the development of radar so that the radar system become more and more integrated, it has greatly promoted the performance of radar. The embedded technology has injected new vitality to the Radar terminal radar development.Ship navigation radar terminal as an important part of the radar system, its main task is to process the radar signal, to display the radar image, to record target data, to provide mariner AIS automatic navigation, electronic charts, collision warning, trajectory plotting and so on. Navigation radar terminal mainly rely on a variety of circuit, the use of embedded technology make the navigation radar smaller, while shortening development cycles. Embedded design proposed in this paper can also be used in other parts of the radar system to further improve radar performance. This paper studies the embedded navigation radar terminal realization, through the analysis of the navigation radar terminal system and principle method to design navigation radar signal processing circuit terminal. Mainly quantitative echo signal from the video and the distance and azimuth data design navigation radar terminal circuit admission. The circuit through the AD converter on the video echo signal sample quantization, and through the trigger pulse signal synchronization; target distance is sampled from the data RAM address counter by the admission; target azimuth position data is recorded by counting the pulse signal received. Then Omap3530 displays the radar image keeping synchronous with quantitative data. The Linux operating system and related interface driver was transplanted on the Omap3530; the final output displays radar images through the VGA interface.
