In recent years, multimedia technology has been developed rapidly, with its strong penetration, multimedia technology has entered into all aspects of human life. Multimedia technology is playing an increasingly large role in the field of game entertainment, education and training, business, information, engineering simulation and services. Especially in recent years, multimedia technology is developing rapidly and improving continuously. Multimedia technology research has important practical significance and high research value.In this article, embedded technology and multimedia technology were combined, it gave a research in embedded multimedia technology, also a multimedia playback system based on OMAP3530was designed and realized. The hardware platform of this system is provided by TI OMAP3530chip, OMAP3530integrated ARM Cortex A8core, TMS320C64x+DSP, graphics engine, video accelerators as well as rich multimedia peripherals. For some operations of the real-time signal, e.g., image, video, and audio data, the DSP may be employed to calculate, and for the communications and peripheral control, as well as other functions, the ARM core could achieve, thus we can establish a good balance between the power consumption and complex applications. The system uses open-source Linux system as its software platform, on this basis, DVSDK (Digital Video Software Development Kit) development environment was built. The DVSDK is supported by TI, which can make it easy for developers using the DSP accelerated codec without the need for programming the DSP, also it can accelerate the development of Linux-based multimedia applications.Firstly, multimedia technology and OMAP platform were carefully studied, the OMAP3530EVM key functional modules are briefly described. Based on the hardware platform, DVSDK development environment was installed, XLoader, UBoot, Kernel and Angstrom file system was cross-compiled. Then this article focuses on the graphical user interface framework Qt and multimedia framework GStreamer on Linux systems, on the basis of them a multimedia player was designed. Finally, the entire system was tested. The test results show that, the player is able to meet the requirements and achieve the desired effect. |
