As a part of the project remotely terminal unit system supported by China HuaDian Group Power Transmission & Distribution Corporation, based on knowing the research technique of the embedded Linux systems,the paper designed the remotely terminal data collection device based on the embedded Linux systems.The research of contents can be classified to the electric power supervisory control technology, combing with the application and development of the embedded Linux systems, taking ARM920T microprocessor EP9302 as the corechip of alternate current sampling remotely terminal unit,taking the factors of function, cost, and so on into consideration. It also accomplished the system's hardware design, which mainly includes data collecting circuit, correspondent circuit, memory device circuit, JTAG circuit and so on is introduced.It's also finished embedded Linux system's software design. Linux is a soft real-time operating system, which is widely applied in embedded systems. Based on a deep analysis of the linux kernel, the paper accomplished the design of alternate current remotely terminal unit software, correspondent software and Linux file system. The real-time multi-tasks function of the Linux operating system not only meets demands of its real-time, but also is beneficial to the expansion of system.
