Wireless sensor network is a new type of network which forms in therapid development of microelectronics, computers and wirelesscommunications technology.By using the Wireless sensor networks, we canmerge the abstract world of information with the physical world together,thus further improve human interaction with the outside world, greatlyexpand the cognitive abilities of human in nature, and expand thefunctionality of the existing network. Therefore, as a new network,wireless sensor network has very broad application prospects.The monitoring system which is mainly used in the glass productionprocess is based on microcomputers centralized monitoring system and modeof PLC-based industrial fieldbus distributed monitoring system.Signalacquisition points of the traditional monitoring systems are connectedby cable to the main control module, affecting the reliability of themonitoring system.In this paper, after analyzing the factors affecting the temperedglass quality, the advantages and disadvantages of common monitoringsystem, we propose a glass tempering furnace monitoring system designbased on ZigBee technology for wireless sensor networks and embedded Webserver technology.(1)First of all, after the analysis about the process of glassproduction,the factors affecting the tempered glass quality and theconstruction of the physical methods glass tempering furnaces,a remotemonitoring method for glass tempering furnace conditions is proposed,which is based on the ZigBee sensor network. And then, it conducts adetailed study of ZigBee wireless sensor network technology. Thecomparative analysis of commonly used short-range wirelesscommunications technology demonstrates the feasibility of ZigBee sensor network in the glass tempering furnace condition monitoring. And afterthe in-depth analysis of the ZigBee2007-Pro protocol stack, the overallprogram of the ZigBee sensor network nodes is proposed.(2)By analysis of the mainstream embedded Web server characteristics,as well as embedded database software, and CGI technology, the designof the embedded Web server platform is determined.(3)According to the above programs, a hardware and software designfor ZigBee sensor network nodes and the embedded Web server is proposed,using CC2530chip, the OK6410embedded systems development platform andTI’s highly practical ZigBee protocol stack.
