Radar Image Display And Processing

Radar image display terminal is an important part of marine radar system. Radar display terminal based on PC has good versatility and flexibility, can give full play to computer's high-speed processing power. Digital image processing, computer graphics technology and computer display technology can be used to implement powerful and flexible information and signal processing by lower cost, to meet the diverse needs of information and data display. And using micro-computer as display and control logic components is the trend of radar display and control terminal. The research task of this subject is designing and implementing radar display system based on PC, and realizing the display and processing of radar images in radar image display software.In this thesis, the content is mainly divided into radar image display and processing for the display. Firstly, the lab provides a radar data acquisition card which integrated programmable devices of FPGA and DSP, this subject uses it in real-time acquisition and processing of radar echo data which is received by radar, and then the data is sent to the display terminal through the CPCI bus. An interface of radar image display is developed by using MFC classes of Visual C++ in Windows operating system, and the OpenGL technology is used to achieve the acceleration of radar image display in order to achieve synchronization with the radar antenna, the received radar echo is real-time displayed on the computer screen. Then, under the discussion of radar images, radar images which are displayed are processed in the environment of MFC and OpenGL. The key issues in the radar display system which based on PC have been solved, which are data transmission, coordinate conversion, radar image display and processing. The software can simulate the afterglow effect of actual radar display, and it can zoom in local radar image, provide CFAR and trail display.The experiment results show that the system can acquire, process and transmit radar echo data in real-time, the radar image display software can make a real-time and clear display of radar image, and do processing of radar images which are displayed.
