The display of Radar control terminal is an important part of radar system, it can notonly convey accurate information to the operating personnel but also be used to control theradar Transceiver. Radar can locate their position, but also can display the target locationrelative to the ship’s position, direction and speed. These functions can also be realized evenin the terrible weather. So the display of radar control terminal is very important for theoperator.The development trend of radar terminal is analyzed and the composition and basicprinciple of radar system are studied. With the research and analysis of the characteristics ofOpenGL and C++technology, radar terminal software is designed in Visual Studio2008development platform on base of analysis of the radar terminal function demand. The radardisplay and control terminal frame is builded and the design and Realization of the controlterminal system radar display is completed.The radar display control terminal system designed in this article had achieved menumodule functions, serial communications functions, the ship information display, cursorinformation display, dials and solid standard ring display and adjustment function, eccentricfunction, zoom function and video transmission and so on.The radar video data could beachieved successfully and the target on the radar video display area could be seen clearly withthe combination of radar antenna,radar transceiver and the display extension. Finally, thedesign of the radar terminal software interface was tested, the test results showed that: thesystem could operate normally with good interaction, stability and real-time.
