Radar terminal display is used for displaying the target’s information and intelligence. It is one of the man-machine interaction interfaces. There are many active equipment using cathode ray tube equipped, they devices use analog circuit. The performance of computer is low and some equipment has no computer. Cathode ray tube has been basically eliminated. The equipment begins to malfunction with the passage of time, and need to repair and upgrade.Based on the maintenance and upgrade for the original equipment, in this paper, the hardware platform based on FPGA to implementation of radar terminal display. Output interface can be directly connected with the liquid crystal display. Can work independently, also can be the radar display and computer display fusion without saving computer system resources. In the condition to meet the requirements of the environment temperature, and has the advantages of low cost, high reliability, small volume, easy installation and maintenance, low power consumption, strong commonality and so on. The design result has been used in a number of products. Get a good evaluation.In this paper, the realization of PPI display and A/R display from FPGA’s Xilinx hardware platform based on the function of the computer, and then the output video fusion to the liquid crystal display. Through the simulation of radar signal, observe the liquid crystal display picture in order to validate the feasibility and universality. The main content of this paper includes:1. Hardware design and debug of the radar raw video display board.2. Radar PPI display program design and A/R display program design.3. The digital overlay design of radar video and computer video.
