A bus transceiver is a circuit which to implement level translator at both ends of the bus, which is widely used in aircraft, aerospace and satellite communications systems. As an interface circuit, its performance and stability directly affect the quality of bus communication systems and security, so it has a very important position in the avionics system.MIL-STD-1553B bus is defined as a U.S. military serial bus standard, which provides a digital time division system command / response multiplex data bus type of interface, the technical requirements of electronic equipment, also provides a the working principle of the multi-channel transmission of data bus and the bus traffic, the electrical and functional formats. It uses unshielded twisted pair for data transmission, the signal is a pulse in the form of serial digital transmission, the data code, Manchester code using two-phase expressed in the form. This paper focuses on specific projects, in-depth research on a line with transceiver part of a MIL-STD-1553B bus standard protocol processor chip, design of a transformer coupled with a bus transceiver. This transceiver which is to achieve with digital-analog hybrid circuit, the highest frequency of 2.5MHz, can be realized in the direct coupled or transformer coupled two mode of operation. Article began the MIL-STD-1553B bus protocol main content characteristics of the bus, the hardware devices and protocols are focused on. The contents of the various parameters of the system protocol handler provides a design standard, the circuit will determine the targets to be achieved. Then, the bus transceiver circuit design in detail, first for the description of the overall structure of the circuit, specifically the modules in the overall role played by the circuit; On this basis, for 1553B bus transceiver circuits in all cell for the transistor-level design, including transmitters, receivers, logic control circuits, benchmark circuits with built-in self test circuit; then also on the circuit layout design (including the port design and ESD protection) and the distribution of the pins described in detail. Finally, Cadence, Hsim and Hspice simulation carried out on the circuit, and were given the simulation waveform of each module and overall circuit simulation and design specifications. This circuit uses a micro-wafer 1.0μm SPDM CMOS process to design. Simulation results show that the supply voltage is 5 V, in the case of ambient temperature -55℃to -125℃, the 1553B bus transceiver designed to receive 2.5Mhz of conversion rate, 10mV of differential output noise, and meets the 1553B bus protocol functionality and reliability requirements.
