In the process of developing the space camera, from the desktop test of initial space to standard manufacture, as well as a variety of environments working condition need to be repeated ground test. In connection with the problems that general simulation test facilities are of bad real-time and flexibility, the project researches on Payload Data Handling Unit and builds a 1553B bus simulation testing system with DSP in order to test the work state, functionality and performance of space camera whether meets the design requirements of the theory.Based on the structure and working principle of the space camera, the design plan which emulates Payload Data Handling Unit is proposed after the 1553B bus technology is introduced and analyzed. This system is that DSP TMS320F2812 is control core, BU-64863 executes 1553B bus function and FPGA carries out address decoding and signal controlling. The system is pulse-counted by GPS satellite synchronous clock module. DSP reads communication time in real-time in order to control the time precision under microsecond. This system could configure the 1553B chip through DSP in order to implement the function of BC/MT and DSP is in charge of handling 1553B bus's messages, in conclusion, they could improve the system's real-time and flexibility.After the testing of the important modules and the whole interface control module, the design plan is proved to be right. The results show that this system is able to meet the comprehensive evaluation purposes to test the work state, functionality and performance of space camera.
