It is a main direction that automobile electronics develop to tap the low cost andhigh efficiency automated transmission with introducing electronic controltechnology into domestic car produced independently and combining with traditionalmechanical transmission. The paper carried out the research and development ofpneumatic automatic transmission ,it complied wth project of automatic transmissioncontrol system for cross-country truck in the plan of "Fifteen" . This system of formilitary purposes cross-country truck, vehicle with air supply, If it is only simply changed,it can be used as drive to choose and change gears shift. Such change can reduce car'cost, facilitate its control and protect the environments. The Automated ManualTransmission(AMT) is automatically controlled by transmission of various grades,whose thought is to imitate human action and to automatically control the traditionalgear transmission. AMT applies the theory of drive and control through usingelectronic technology, and designs the electronic control unit (ECU) as the core. Itcan adjust the gears to the optimal position through measuring condition parameterwhen vehicles are running and reading the optimal gearshift rules saved beforehand.Then AMT gives execution system commands to manipulate the mechanism ofchoose-and-shift gears, clutch and accelerator in order to implement automatedcontrols of step and gearshift in allowed time. Because drive fitting is still geartransmission, it has several merits: high-efficiency drive, powerful drive, simplestructure and convenient control to automated transmission, etc.1 The idea of AMTGas drived AMT is the automated transmission that uses air supply as drive, and thebasic control theories are: in light of driver's manipulation (accelerator, brake orgearshift) and vehicles'running states (car's speed, engine'rotating speed androtating speed of transmission's input axis), ECU makes certain drivers'intention androad conditions, adopts corresponding control principles and sends control commandsto relevant execution mechanism to jointly manipulate cars'drive system. Theexperiment has showed that the car loaded AMT consumes less nearly 20% gasolinethan that loaded liquid automated transmission.2 Investigative purpose in this text With the development of automobile industry, automated transmission has becomestandard fitting for car overseas. The technology of automated transmission hasdeveloped from family car to passenger car, to truck, etc. Domestic car has alwaysfast developed, but, because of some problems, for exemple, fund lack, backwardproductive crafts and technics, it is a feasible project to implement AMTtransformation for axis fixed transmission. car-carried gas that is simply transformedcan become gearshift drive, and such transformation can reduce its cost, facilitate itscontrol and protect the environments. The research in this text is basic of the thoughton dong feng liberation truck'gas-drived AMT. For china'automatization process incar industry, it has the practical significance and important referent value withrelevant test and control possess. Owing to domestic automobile equipped generallyaxis-fixed mechanical transmission, in the china the research on AMT will has wideforeground. To transform manual mechanical transmission and achieve car'automated gearshift can upgrade its level. Adopting the AMT technique in thebig-sized car that is independently produced inland, like big passenger car or carryingtruck, and implementing car'automated gearshift have the vast foreground.3 Main research work Intruduces the theory and the design of the construction and system framework ofAutomated Manual Transmission which exploit the gas source carried by cars as thepower. Presents the primary work theory and system's software implementation ofbasing on P80C592 Single Chip Micyoco to implement the selfcontrol of selectingand switching shift controling of clutch and valve.3.1 This text recounts AMT'definition, developing process and domestic andinternational present condition. We have completed structural analysis and design inhardware for gas-drived AMT, including execution mechanism, sensor and ECU.3.2 Adopting MCU P80C592 of 8 digits which is produced by PHILIPS company todesign the ECU of the gas-drived AMT, we have finished the relevant handle to allkinds of input and output data.3.3 Adopt gearshift regulation with two parameters, completing the save of gearshift...
