In information times, the traditional newspaper is faced with the competition of new media. Multi-development of the newspaper becomes realistic problem of newspaper revolution and important task in academy.This paper holds a hypothesis: multi-communication of digitization will become the mostly survival form. It dissertates the practical significance and academic innovation of multi-communication of newspaper's digitization from seven parts.It consists of seven parts.The first part is its forward, making dissertation on the achievements made by domestic and international experts. It also introduces the frame and method of its research.The second part mainly discusses some conception of digitization and the digitization of various mass media.The third part mainly disserts the digitizing course of Chinese newspaper. It also presents the digitization of the producing process and final form of newspaper.The fourth part probes into the relationship between Internet and the digitization of newspaper. After analyzing their feature and cooperating model with a series of data, it concludes that newspaper will not be replaced by Internet.The fifth part expatiates on the reconstruction of dissemination due to digitization. It explores the change of media theory by digitization from two dimensions of the mass communication: gatekeeper and agenda arrangement; and demonstrates the transfer of reporting approach from three aspects: timeliness,depth and interaction.The sixth part tries to explore the developing way of the newspaper in the future by the aspects of newspaper management, newspaper conception, newspaper modality and so on.The seventh part is the conclusion, drawing systemic prospects of the developing direction of the newspaper in the future.
