With the development of technology and increase of information, the demand of bandwidth by people is increased. The optical interconnection replaces the electronic interconnection because its high speed, wide bandwidth and un-interrupt. But the traditional optical interconnection is suit for the long distance. It seems that the cost is so high when it is used in the short distance. So it is impendent to find a way that is low cost, small bulk and simple structure to realize the optical interconnection in short distance. Recently, the technology of CMOS-SEED and VCSEL/MSM-CMOS has rapidly developed and made it easy to research the optical interconnection system. In this background, the technology of Very Short Reach (VSR) is brought forward. It also gets a lot of attention and developed widely.Based on the present development status of VSR technology in the world and the nation, we researched its technology. We also simply introduced its four standards and mainly researched data transition of VSR-1 standard. We particularly give the transmitter, which transmit 12×1.24MHz parallel electrical data signals into 12×1.24GHz optical data signals and send into the multimode fiber ribbon. The design of transmitter's 1.25Gbps/2.5Gbps/3.125Gbps high speed PCB is a critical technique. In the thesis, the high speed digital phenomena, SI,EMC and PI, was expatiate in detail. The mechanism and soution of reflection,crosstalk,ringing,EMI,SSN and decoupling was also given. The reflection,crosstalk and EMI analysis for transmitter high speed PCB , as well as the PI analysis for it's test PCB, was finished. Then make some comparison between the practical testing result and the simulation result so as to prove the reliability of the analysis process. The hardware testing result says that the design meets the specification.
