People bring forward more requirements on routers processing ability, switching capacity and throughput as the fast development of Internet to higher speed and broader band. On the one hand, routers must sustain the link rate which grows faster and faster, and on the other hand, they have to offer some kinds of Quality of Service. High-speed PCB design is key point which limits the performance of router. This dissertation is devoted to the researches of the theory and implementation of high-speed PCB design based on SI (Signal Integrity) analysis according to the requirements of 863 Terabit router project. The main work of this dissertation is as follows: Elaborate the signal integrity (SI) problem of current high-speed PCB design industry. Point out the effect of the (SI) problem as well as the SI problem origin, proposed the new task for the further research and the project practice. We analyze the general solution of signal integrity problem in high-speed digital system based upon reference signal integrity theory. These results provide a good reference for Terabit router 10G linecard SI analyzing and engineering design. We compare with IBIS, SPICE and Verilog-AMS/VHDL-AMS model and contrast the mainstream simulation tools. Then, we selected the modeling mode which the 10G linecard PCB simulation and design used. These works lay the good foundation for Terabit router 10G linecard SI analyzing and engineering design. Based on the forecited theoretica, we consider the project characteristic and many kinds of factors. Then, we proposed the 10G linecard PCB simulation and design project plan. This plan uses the Interconnect Synthesize (IS) flow, through IBIS and the SPICE model mix using, and finds analysis solution space which the traditional experience principle and the simulation tools mix using. This plan obtained the good compromised in the efficiency and the precision. According to the above plan, we complete the 10G linecard PCB simulation and design work of 863 Terabit router project, and get the good solution of SI problem. Finally, we sign off the design and product it. After the test, the performance achieved "863 Terabit Router Technology standard" and "863 Terabit Router Test Standard" requires.
