The content of this subject is one part of the complete appliance and the key technology research of digital camera which is the tackle key problem of science and technology of Bureau of Information Industry of ChongQing.. The key of this subject is how to design and realize the embedded real time digital image acquisition system based on FPGA and TMS320C 6711DSK to realize the collection, processing, store and display function of the digital image .The author introduced development process, design flow and the hardware choice. The author focused the application of TMS6711DSK and FPGA in digital image acquisition, data processing and hardware control design of and LCD module in detail, as well as the framework and function of the three parts.This system includes TMS320C6711DSK and DaughterCard. The DaughterCard includes video acquisition module, decode module, FPGA module, data storage and LCD display module. The DaughterCard realized the video acquisition, decode, storage and LCD display function of the front end. The DaughterCard can work independently, as well.Firstly, the author introduced the acquisition of digital image front end. The author introduced the origin and the definition of digital image signal and how to initialize the inner register of SAA7113 through the IO port of AT89C2051 to define the mode of the SAA7113. Secondly , the author introduced how to deal with the data in TMS320C6711DSK in detail, The author presented the software flow chart as well as the knowledge of TMS320C6711DSK development flat form. Thirdly, the author introduced the principle and development of LCD controller, as well as the interface and function of FPGA and SAA7113 module , storage module, LCD module, TMS320C6711DSK one by one in detail. The author presented the top module program charts of every part. Fourthly, The author introduced the power design principle of multiple-voltage ASIC and the flow of PCB design, as well as the experience and summary. The author also discussed the pipelined general-purpose RISC microprocessor and dedicated DSP blocks in FPGA.This system realized the embed active digital image acquisition system with function of the input (collection ), output (display ) and procession of active image signal. This system has the ability of the most function of active video such as embeddedvision measurement, embedded pattern recognition, embedded image compression and transmission.The author attempted the co-procession of the FPGA and TMS320C6711DSK. The author introduced the scheme analysis and system design in detail. The key part simulation results have proved the realization of this project.The author attempted SOPC(System on Programmable Chip)through integration of one or more soft CPU or soft DSP core which can be regard as the external CPU or the high speed co-processor even can replace DSP with surplus resource in FPGA.This system has the general function such as digital image input (collect), output (display). This system has the ability of most active digital video function such as embedded vision measurement, embedded pattern recognition, embedded image depression and transmission, and so on.The design has the general function of digital image acquisition, data processing, data storage and gray image display, real time gray video display. The design can deal with the front end image acquisition in image procession and imaging in engineering, as well as video watch.
