The Research And Implementation Of Data Collecting Technology In Telecom Performance Management System

With the rapid growth of the telecom business, the telecom network has been a valid resource for enterprises to both save costs and increase revenue. So we need to monitor and manage their network in a better way. 　The data collecting technology is very important method in telecom network management . It is very important for either telecom company or science researchers to grasp the technology. 　 As the entire implementation course of performance management subsystem of data comprehensive net management system in YunNan Unicom Company, this paper describes some technology gists and realization method of "data collecting". From function, structure and interface etc, the research and arithmetic realization of performance collecting technology are discussed by using SNMP protocol. The result of the application in telecom system is good. The performance management system mainly provides solution of inspecting and managing network performance and runoff for telecom company. As a kernel technology of performance management system , data collecting technology collects and manges equipment data of router and switcher etc nicety and real time, it can provide parameters of network equipment's port performance and utilizing rate of CPU , memory , bandwidth . The performance parameters are important to configure and optimize system for administrator. The performance data collecting technology mainly bases on "snmp agent" and uses operation of "get" and "get next" . 　It directly accesses MIB of network equipment for example router and polls equipment information. So it can get utilizing 　rate of CPU etc.During implementation course of data collecting, this paper discusses three innovation of development method : common MIB collector, database operation and agility of MIB configuration The net manager and administrator of telecom company, such as ChinaUnicom, ChinaMobile, ChinaNetcom, ChinaTelecom and ChinaRailCom etc , use data collecting technology in this paper.In conclusion, research and implementation of data collecting technology is very important to theory exploring and engineering practice.
