With the methods of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, this paper give those 65 representative particles which select from Time's China Reports from 1998 until 2002 a content study.The research is divided into three parts. The first part is Literature Review, it bring up some new views with probing into the concept of "Nation Image" and the "News Frame" theory. The second part retrospect the few stages that develops China-U.S relations hereafter of 1949s first, and then studying the topics and keywords of those 65 particles under that history background. In order to answer how lime shapes the image of China's leadership, the third part does a case study of Zhu Rongji. The part of conclusion give a thorough explain of those key factors that are right to result in the negative way of China report in United States medias.The research shows that: the negative angles on reporting China of U.S medias have the deep complicacy with political, historical and cultural reasons. From the medium itself, News Frame is playing the great role in shape of the China' s "Nation Image".
