With the swift and violent development of science and technology, mankind is entering the information-based society steadily. Constant development, maturity and perfect of digitizing technique, offer us the advantages that develop digital video acquisition, video processing and identifying system of new generation. Prices of the general digital video acquisition devices are higher. The solution that this text introduces is simple, cheap, and can be widely applied to the occasions need acquire the video image. This system can distinguish the image with the software of pattern process. More over, this system can store, playback the video image. It can also analyze and deal with it further. So it has a promising application prospect.A scheme of video signal acquisition system is brought forward in this paper. High-speed A/D, D/A and Static Random Access Memory (SRAM) are used in this system. It can capture video images with CCD. The analog signal can be changed into digital signal by A/D after pretreatment circuit of video . The pulse circuit of clock produces the actuating signal of A/D converter and address of the data memory. The system can store a frame or many frames of video pictures in the high speed SRAM as requested. Then it can send the signal into computer by EPP and USB. It can be shown and dealt with. This system can work without computer. It send the digital image into D/A after reading, and change it into analog signal. Then the image can be shown directly on CRT. In this system , high speed clock is produced by the clock circuit when acquiring and feeding back signal. The required clock is produced by the PC program when communicating. The PC program is realized by Visual C ++6.0.This paper has proved the validity of this method through the experiment. It design video signal acquitting system based on EPP and USB. We carry on the experiment to study. The experimental results indicate that this method has higher dependability and practicability...
