Study Of The Video Signal Leaking From A Colour PDP

The video signal safety of a computer was illustrated in this paper in the beginning. The importance of restraining the signal leaking from a PDP (plasma display panel) was also illustrated. The configuration and working principle of a computer video system, the characters of VGA signal were analyzed for understanding the principle of signal leaking from a PDP. Then the working principle of a tri-electrode surface discharge AC-PDP with the addressing method of ADS (Address Display-period Separation) was analyzed. The detail signal flow of this PDP was given with the help of its working principle. Then the signal leaking from the inner video signal processing units of this PDP was analyzed. The modeling and analyzing of signal leaking form the anterior amplifier, the A/D converter and the latch was done. The signal leaking from the circuits posterior to the latch was also analyzed. Conclusions that the anterior amplifier was a leaking circuit and the A/D converter was a potential leaking circuit were made. The total signal leaking from this PDP was analyzed. At last, corresponding methods for restraining the signal leaking from the anterior amplifier and the A/D converter were brought forward. Format transform of video signal was also brought forward to restrain the video signal leaking.
