The Research On Development And Reform Of China's Press Industry

China's press industry is in an important historical period. Its development direction and situation determines the rise and decline of the press industry.The first part of this paper discusses mainly on the development situation of China's press industry after the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee. Furthermore taking the internal pressure of the press industry as the driving force, we can clearly realize the present position and the development direction of China's press industry after China's entry into the WTO.The second part of the paper points out the opportunity and challenge faced by China's press industry. The explanation of the former is based on the present state and the micro-control of China's press industry. The later, however, is discussed at three aspects such as 'a question', 'a lesson', and 'a menace'.The third part explains the guiding ideology and basic principles of China's policies.The fourth partlists the main measures of the reform of the press industry.The fifth part analyses the relationship between elaborate division of the press market and professional press in 21st century.The last part probes into the local characteristics and illustrates the importance of the characteristics at three aspects: finding a way out, bringing forth new ideas and self-reliance.
