Study on High Speed Data Sampling and ProcessingABSTRACTThe contacts of electrical apparatus are the key components for accomplishing the change-over function and the principal factor for determining the lifetime of low voltage apparatus. Besides the designing element of the contacts, thechanging processes of voltage and the energy change of them during change-over of contacts plays a rather important role for the disjunction ability of the contact, electrical life and its cause of invalidation. To improve its reliability, it is necessary to investigate the effects of various factors on these changing processes, as well as the dynamic change of the sudden-changing processes of voltage and current . As a result, an effective and practical testing instrument is needed.In this paper, a new system of high-speed data sampling and processing is presented for developing and producing high performance low voltage apparatus , meantime the design of the software and hardware has been achieved. In hardware design, high-speed DSP (TMS 320C40), A/D and memories are used as the core in designing and realizing the high-speed sampling card which forms a double CPU system with the host computer, the system employs DMA technology in communication, so as to increase the data transmitting speed. In software design, three computer languages (assembly, Delphi and Borland C++) and module design are used for the software system, it contains data sampling and processing software, contore software and waveform display software . The data processing software can be used to process the sudden are voltage change and in the analyzing calculation of conducting time , arcing time, I2U COS 4>. By using the control software, the starting of 8-channel high rate A/D data sampling and production of contact change-over can be controlled simultaneously . Meantime, the waveform display software can realize the continuous waveform contraction and expansion and manyother display modes.A lot of experiments are made on A.C contactors with this high rate sampling and processing system, which prove that it has relatively high data sampling speed and waveform resolution rate, it provides a new method for the further study of the are voltage sudden-changing process.
