ObjectsTo know the breach situation and internal relation of psychological contract of head nurses from the third-first grade hospitals in Fuzhou and Nanchang cities, as well as the influence on job burnout and job satisfaction. In turn, hospital administrators should targete a head nurses'psychological contract management.MethodsThe research was carried out in Fuzhou and Nanchang cites.246 head nurses from third-first grade hospitals were assessed with Head Nurse Psychological Contract Questionnaires, Job Burnout Inventory, McCloskey/Mueller Satisfaction Scale(MMSS) and general information of geography questionnaires. Application of mean, standard deviation, t-test,one-way ANOVA and multiple stepwise regression statistical analysis.Results1 The Head Nurse Psychological Contract Questionnaires include obligations of head nurse and hospital's , each part comprises the obligations of reality, development and team. The Cronbach's a coefficient were between 0.894-0.932.2 The head nurses'psychological contract existed breach.The obligation of hospital reality breached seriously,followed by the obligations of hospital development, hospital team, head nurses'development,head nurses'team and head nurses'reality. The breach of head nurses'obligations were influenced by the breach of hospital obligations statistically . 3 About the breach of psychological contract, different age groups, age groups served as head nurses, professional titles and monthly income of head nurses were different statistically; different marital status, educated levels, length of service groups and cities were not different statistically.4 Emotional exhaustion of the head nurses was influenced by the breach of hospital team and hospital development obligation of psychological contract statistically; cynicism of the head nurses was influenced by the breach of hospital team and head nurses'team obligation statistically; low sense of accomplishment of the head nurses was influenced by the breach of head nurses'development obligation statistically .Job burnout of the head nurses was not influenced by the breach of hospital reality and head nurses'reality obligation.5 Among job satisfactions,head nurses were most dissatisfied with the social interation opportunities, followed by scheduling, balance between family and work, benefits, professional development and job recog- nition,job control,colleagues relationship.Except colleagues relation- ship ,head nurses'job satisfactions were influenced by the breach of hospital reality obligation of psychological contract statistically; head nurses'job satisfactions in benefits, professional development and job recognition, colleagues relationship were influenced by the breach of hospital team obligation statistically; head nurses'job satisfactions in social interation opportunities,professional development and job recognition , colleagues relationship were influenced by the breach of head nurses'team obligation statistically.The head nurses'job satisfactions weren't influenced by the breach of hospital development,head nurses'development and head nurses'reality obligations statisticallyConclusions 1 The Head Nurse'Psychological Contract Questionnaires has a good validity and reliability.2 The breach of hospital team obligation of psychological contract has predictive power on the breach of head nurses'reality,development, team obligation.The breach of hospital development obligation of psychological contract has predictive power on the breach of head nurses'reality and team obligation.3 Depending on the individual geography characteristics , hospital administrators should manage head nurses'psychological contract and promote the fulfillment.4 The breach of hospital team obligation of psychological contract has predictive power on head nurses'emotional exhaustion ,cynicism .The breach of hospital development obligation of psychological contract has predictive power on head nurses'emotional exhaustion . The breach of head nurses'team obligation of psychological contract has predictive power on head nurses'cynicism . The breach of head nurses'development obligation of psychological contract has predictive power on head nurses'low sense of accomplishment.5 The breach of hospital reality obligation of psychological contract has predictive power on head nurses'job satisfactions except colleagues relationship.The breach of hospital team obligation of psychological contract has predictive power on head nurses'job satisfactions in benefits, professional development and job recognition, colleague relationships.The breach of hospital development obligation of psychological contract has predictive power on head nurses'job satisfactions in professional development and job recognition .
