Objective To investigate situation of psychological contract of nursing staff Job satisfaction and analyze the correlation. Nursing administrators may use the findings of this study as an empirical data for developing effective psychological contract to motivate nurses'jod satisfaction , further increasing the nursing job performance.Methods This study used survey research methods, 600 nurses were obtained by using convenience sampling method. Data collecting was conducted in 6 hospitals of Harbin. Research instruments used in this study had three parts, including psychological contract scale, job satisfaction scale and demographic questionnaire. Nurses' demographic data was analyzed by constituent ratio. Data was analyzed by using the Statistics Package of Social Science (SPSS). The psychological contract scale and job satisfaction scale were analyzed by the methods of Mean and Standard Deviation in statistic. The relationship among nurses demographic data , the psychological contract scale and job satisfaction was compared by t-test and one-way ANOVA.The relationship among the three factors were analyzed by using method of pearson correlation and multiple linear stepwise regression analysis.Results In the psychological contract, staff of Organization psychological contract was significantly higher than Organization of staff psychological contract; organizations responsible for staff development and organizations responsible for staff interpersonal played a role as forecast on responsibility of the staff. In the job satisfaction: the most unsatisfication were payment, working-busing, current working conditions, implementation style of the policy, promotion opportunities. The intrinsic satisfaction was higher than extrinsic satisfaction. Personal information of the factors that affected the psychological contract were the purpose of the work, job, monthly income; that affected job satisfaction factors were the purpose of the work, job, monthly income. There was a positive correlation between Psychological contract and job satisfaction. For the more, between Organization of staff responsibilities in the Psychological contract and job satisfaction of nurses , there was a significant positive correlation .Conclusion Psychologicalcontract, the nurses have their own understanding on duty ,with higher expectations for the hospital. To develop and carry out the psychological contract impact on psychological contract of nurses. Hospital organizations should focus on the responsibility of the shortcomings and take effective measures to improve job satisfaction of nurses, for further to advance the development of nursing.
