By investing the nurses of hospitals, this study aimed to explore the level of burnout, and analyzed how the correlates such as demographical factors, social support, and work satisfaction influence the burnout of this group, on the theoretical basis, the research tried to find the possibility of decreasing the psychological pressure of nurses and give some suggestions to the hospital managers. At the same tine, this research attempted to describe the job stressors of the nurses by compile the job stressors survey of nurses, and to explore the relationship between the job stressors and the burnout.At first, the current study reviewed the history of the burnout study, different concept, theoretical model and assessment of burnout. Through case study and assessments of burnout, the study explored the level of burnout of nurse, and the relationship of burnout, social support, and work satisfaction. This study were collected with the questionnaire from nurses in several hospitals in Shandong(N=307). Results indicated that 1. nurses in Shandong reported moderate levels of emotional exhaustion as well as moderate levels of reduced personal accomplishment, that of cynicism was slight; 2. as for the degree of burnout, there was some difference in different types of nurses; 3. social support had effects on burnout by suffer the burnout, but the utilization of social support is low; 4.job satisfaction was significantly related to all burnout dimensions. According to the results, the study gived the following advice: 1. help the nurses know more about burnout and learn to adjust himself by using psychology knowledge; 2. promote the psychology popularized in hospital nurses, and encourage them to consult; 3. put the people in central, improve the level of management.By consulting relevance literature and combinating case talking, the job stressors survey of nurse was devised to study the job stressors and the relationship between job stressors and burnout. Results showed that 1. the job stressors survey of nurse had good construct validity and internal reliability; 2. the nurse job stressors in descending order were professional characters, organization management, patient care, career expectation, job resources and environmental problems. 3. job stressors was significantly positive related to emotional exhaustion, correlation between job stressors and cynicism was not significant. 4 multiple linear regression analysis revealed that career expectation was the most important factor to predict of jobburnout.
