[OBJECTIVE] To investigate the Status of job burnout and explore its relatedfactors among Doctors[METHODS] A total of 377 doctors were investigated by Maslach burnoutinventory (MBI), Simplified coping style questionnaire, Life satisfactionindex B ( LSIB ) , Social support rating scale(SSRS)and Basic personalinformation questionnaire. They were derived from a stratified cluster randomsampling. Data were entered into computer and disposed it with statisticalsoftware of SPSS13.0. Descriptive analysis, T test, ANOVA , Pearson linearcorrelation, and multivariate logistic regression are used to analyze thedata.[RESULTS]1. Comparison of job burnout, social support , life satisfaction indexsituation of different groups:Male doctors experience significantly higher emotional exhaustion (EE) than female (P<0.05) , female doctors score significantly higher LSIB than male (P<0.01) ;Married doctors score significantly higher than unmarried on personal accomplishment (PA), total scores of social support scale, objective support, subjective support, LSIB (P<0.01) but significantly lower score on depersonnalizationthan(DP) them (P<0.05).2. Comparison of job burnout, social support situation of the differentdepartments:Significantly Differents are found on EE and PA among different departments doctors (P<0.05) .LSD indicate that internist and surgeons score higher on EE and DP than psychiatrists, while compare with other departments, surgeons report greater PA, and psychiatrists report significantly lower PA. psychiatrists get lower social support than other departments but no significantly differents (P>0.05) .3. Comparison of job burnout, social support , coping style, and lifesatisfaction index situation of different technical posts:Senior technical post experience lower DP but higher PA than intermediate and primary technical post ; primary technical post experience lower social support and PA than intermediate and Senior technical post ; Senior technical post score more on LSIB but less inactive answering strategy than intermediate and primary ones4. Comparison of job burnout, social support situation of the different state of economic burden :Doctors who undertake heavy economic burden experience significantly different on EE, DP, total scores of social support scale and objective support compared with less economic burden .5. Bivariate correlations and regression are used to analyze therelationship between social support , coping style and job burnout, life satisfaction ; job burnout and life satisfaction :social support and active answering strategy are significantly negatively associated with EE and DP while positively associated with PA and LSIB (P <0.01) ; EE and DP are significantly negatively associated with LSIB while positively associated with PA (P<0.01) ; coping style obviously predicted job burnout (P<0.01) .[CONCLUSION]1. Male doctors experience more job stress and female doctors know enjoy life better; getting marriage may lighten job burnout and increase life satisfaction index .2. surgeons face more job stress while enjoy more accomplishment; the professional knowledge of psychiatrists act effective antergic to job burnout3. Senior technical posts are more good-tempered , more positively and enjoy more from life ; primary technical post access to less achievability and get less support .4. Trying best to lighten the economic burden can improve the situationof job bournout among doctors .5. Favourable social support and positive coping style are powerful weapons to job burnout;only to deal with job burnout well , good life may be possible .
