In recent years, our country electric power capacity installed and power rate per every year have leapt to the second in the world. Inevitably, they will bring in more and more the request for unit parameter, will appear some unsafe problem being brought in the development of the process. As the large-scale equipment boiler in the thermal power plant, because the multitudinous influenced factors which is the bad working conditions, the quality of the unfitting materials, the unqualified overhaul quality and the artificial misoperation, and the non comprehensive or systematical realization of accident reasons analysis on the boiler system at present, have caused to have some insufficiency in the management, to produce the phenomena of the abrasion and the leak on the pipe, even to appear the explosion. Not only can they bring massive damage of property, but also they can cause personnel casualty in the power plant.Based on the above understanding, this paper has adopted the principle of the safety system project. In other words, it has used Preliminary Hazard Analyse and Fault Tree Analysis. The present power plant boiler accident which is serious, which frequently occurred, and the high degree of hazard, for example, the explosion of the plant's chamberfire, the divulgence of "four pipes", the destruction and distortion of the air pre-heater and the personnel injures in the operation of cleaning out clinker, are comprehensively, systematically and fine analysed. The paper has several valued merits. The one advantage is that we can clearly know every kind of basic accident reasons by the form and the tree shape logical organization and that we can rapidly judge the causal relation of the accident from each level clearly demarcated graphs and the direct-viewing outlines. Another advantage is that we can propose the constructive preventive measures through Preliminary Hazard Analyse, according to causes of the accident. So the measures may provide certain reference for the boiler safety control.At the same time, the paper has been further carried on the qualitative and quantitative analyses for the accident reason, in order to calculate how much each elementary event influences the final accident and to produce which combinations of the least elementary events can cause the final accident. It also produced some effective methods and many different preventive measures which avoid the accident from occurring. At last, there are three aspects (including the boiler management standardization, the boiler scene safe standardization and the boiler operational safety standardization) which were introduced in the third chapter of the article to propose some countermeasures of safe standardization management in the power plant boiler.Granted that, these research achievement in the paper can have certain implications for accident prevention in power plant boiler and implementation of boiler safety standardization.
