Forked plectrum part is one of the important components of the automobile gearbox, it is adopted extensively in drive and changing speed system of the automobile in order to transmit the speed and change the direction. It causes the production to be high cost and low efficiency due to the various forked plectrum part and backward management. So it is necessary to study and improve the management of the part, lower cost and increase the benefit.In recent years, Lean Production popularizes extensively worldwide, especially in the fields of aviation and car making. It demand enterprise produce the required production in required time and on required quantity, and meet the demand of customer. It is very helpful for enterprise to reduce cost and increases economic efficiency.This article did systematic research on a concrete producer applying Kanban management and equipment layout in LP after basic introduction of LP and fork. The author put forward the methods applying Kanban management between fork factory and Supplier of the upper reaches; decrease stock, according to the huge stock of forked plectrum parts in their factory. In equipment layout, according to the advantage of equipment layout of the unit in group, divided the equipment into two groups according to the size of load, designed a single production line scheme of the fork. Designed a programme on equipment layout toward the composite production between fork and other parts. The author applied the genetic algorithms, regard MATLAB as the computational tool to solve the problem. Through practise Lean Production, the fork factory stride for the direction of low cost, high benefit.
