Reform And Practice In Advanced Mathematics Course Of Mechanic-electricity Major In Higher Vocational Education

Higher vocational education, as a new educational model rising up in the developing process of China's higher education turns out practice-oriented talents in the front-line of production, construction, management and service. The current situation and the demands placed by our times on higher vocational education urge the higher vocational education workers to start everything from practice, follow the principle of"Teaching for the aim of application,to the point of adequacy"and manifest the characteristic of"Tying up with reality, deepening the concept, emphasizing application, stressing innovation and enhancing students'quality".Taking into consideration of the characteristics of higher vocational education, this essay first offers some knowledge of the research background from the current situation of higher vocational education, of advanced mathematics teaching and course arrangement of advanced mathematics in higher vocational education, also it discusses the significance of the subject in theory and practice. Then the essay, on the basis of some related reforms at home and abroad, taking the major of mechanic-electricity as an example, makes some research on advanced mathematics education reform.The author holds the opinion that in order to carry out advanced mathematics course reform, first we should apply"modularization"teaching, which is to divide advance mathematics into three modules: basic module, major module and optional learning module. The author also makes a meaningful exploration of advanced mathematics teaching reform in higher vocational education and offers some suggestions on how to reform.
