Along with Country Elementary education Curriculum reform Instruction Summary was promulgated in June, 2001, our country new elementary education reform was started. The National Ministry of Education has first promulgated Full-time Compulsory education Biology Curriculum Standard, then has promulgated High school Biology New Curriculum Standard. The biology new curriculum's implementation presented the challenge to the biological teacher, caused the biological teacher's role to have the fundamental transformation. To student's study, the teacher must become the organizer, the participant, the assistor, the guide, the promoter. To the curriculum, The biological teacher must become the researcher, the exploiter, the policy-maker of the curriculum. This kind of transformation set a higher request to the biological teacher's curriculum ability. Requests the teacher to have the abilities to make decision and design, to carry out, to integrate and develop, to study and reflect, to evaluate the curriculum and to cooperate. Whether the teacher does have the curriculum abilities and ability level fits the new curriculum request become one of the keys on middle school biology curriculum reform. Therefore, to inquire the rule of the teacher ablities developments, to find the factor in teacher's development.and some curriculum abilities need enhance, then strengthenning the advantageous factor and reforming disadvantageous factor to develop teachers curriculum abilities. Cultivating"the biological new curriculum teacher"with strong biology curriculum ability was the first important mission of the normal colleges and universities biology specializedThis research take the biology curriculum ability investigation and study as a subject, by referring to literatures, doing investigations and interviews, doing scene observation, doing comparison and so on. First, literature on the teacher profession development, the new curriculum theory and the biology teaching theory under the background of the new curriculum reform was analized. Then, designed and modified the were investigated independently. 157 seniors were investigated through questionnaires who had gone through the practice teaching from the Guangxi Normal university and Yulin Normal college. To evaluate undergraduates curriculum ability level, simultaneously, 72 on-the-job biology teachers were investigated used the similar questionnaires in the Guangxi. On-the-job biology teacher and undergraduates'behavior were observed in classroom. The results of investigation and observation were analized contrastively.To pursue the influence factor on undergraduates curriculum ability development, interviews were done after investigation.This research concludes: Although the undergraduates'curriculum consciousness level is higher than on-the-job biology teachers'slightly, but the curriculum ability level is lower than on-the-job biology teachers'. Therefore, on-the-job biology teachers'curriculum abilities have not been able to fit the new curriculum, the undergraduates'curriculum abilities haven't adapted to the new curriculum too. The factors that affect undergraduates'curriculum abilities development are quite complex. The external factor: the undergraduates'curriculum abilities weren't valued in normal university; the partial university teachers'education concepts is obsolete; the teaching method is too unitary; in the university the teacher's education curriculum arrangement is not very reasonable as well as the effect of curriculum carry out has not be ensured; the onefold valuation cannot take action enough on to enhance abilities of undergraduates; undergraduates'teaching skill training has been insufficient; The education practice time is not very sufficient; The resources of education has been relatively insufficient and the campus cultiural construction has been lack and so on. The internal factor: part of undergraduates'zeal and positivity of study has been deficiency; learning capabilities of them are weak; lacks the highly effective method on study and so on.This research propose: The normal universities and colleges and teachers in universities and colleges all should renew the concepts on teacher education, know selves'responsibility on teacher's education, conbine elementary education new curriculum to carry on the teacher education reform, cultivating undergraduates synthetically base the teacher professional development. More perfect the teacher education curriculum system; enhance course dimension interpenetration; enrich undergraduates'knowledge structure by liberal art and science interpenetration, guarantees the courses carried on effect; use the case teaching method in carry on teacher education curriculum and pay great attention in combine the elementary education new curriculum, encourage normal students to study and use the theory; arrange possibly teacher's education curriculum, strengthen the teacher vocational skill training and the teaching skill training, and pay great attention undergraduates'weak skill and key skill training, simultaneously strengthen the probation and the practice teaching etc. practices action.Set up normal students beliefs to do"the biological new curriculum teacher"since they enter normal university.
